Kitsu Cattery is a small cattery located in Painesville, Ohio. We, Norman & Gerry Urban, have been breeding European Burmese cats since 2004. Our foundation Queen, GC Bondi's Creme Delight of Kitsu DM, a Cream female, was acquired from Wayne Trevathan. He was instrumental in introducing this breed into the Cat Fanciers Association in 2002. Wayne has been a breeder for more than 30 years and is a Judge for the Cat Fanciers shows. We are so grateful for Wayne Trevathan for getting us started and mentoring us.

Our foundation Stud, Keeza Boy from Oz of Kitsu, a Cream male, was acquired from Pamela Miller of Sydney, Australia. Pamela has been breeding European Burmese cats for more than 30 years. Her lines have produced National Winning cats in the Cat Fanciers in Kitten, Championship, and Premiership classes. We are very thankful to Pamela providing us our foundation male. Keeza Boy from Oz of Kitsu was named after the songwriter from Australia named Peter Allen.

Our 2nd Stud GC RW Creswell Billabong Bill of Kitsu DM was acquired from Janine and Harry Cooper, whose cattery resides in Tasmania. Bill was a delight to show and was 2nd Best of Breed in 2005-2006 CFA show season. He arrived in our cattery in Feb. 2006 and was shown for 3 months during the show season 2005-2006.. Bill was the 1st European Burmese male to achieve the status of Distinquished Merit (DM) in the Cat Fanciers Asscoation.

Our 1st priority is to breed healthy cats, then type & temperment. Our kittens are raised in our home and have freedom to run after they receive their 1st vaccination shots at 8 weeks of age. Kittens are not sold until they are spayed or neutered and had their final vaccination shot at 16 weeks of age. All of our kittens have a health guarantee. We strongly encourage all pet buyers to visit our cattery and see our kittens and their parents. Both of us are retired so we have the time to spoil and enjoy all the cats and kittens.

GC Bondi's Creme Delight of Kitsu DM achieved the award of Distinguished Merit in April of 2008 after 5 of her off springs achieved the status of Grand Champion.

We started to show European Burmese Cats in 2004. We had our 1st litter in 2004. Kitsu Charlie Angel, a Blue Tortie female, was our 1st kitten born. She was the European Burmese Breed Winner for the 2005-2006 show season in Championship and the best European Burmese Kitten in CFA for the 2005-2006 show season. She also was a one show Grand Champion at a cat show in Sturbridge, Mass in Sept 2005. Angel was the 11th best Cat in Championship and 6th best Kitten in the Great Lakes Region for the 2005-2006 show season.

We had a National Winning Kitten in the Cat Fanciers during the 2006-2007 show season. Her name is CH NW Kitsu's Kiss Me Kate. She placed 19th best Kitten nationally in the Cat Fanciers and 5th Best Kitten in the Great Lakes Region.

We have two new Queens that we acquired from Janelle & Ken Lawrence of Korindah Cattery. GC RW Korindah Dallas of Kitsu was the 27th best Kitten in the Cat Fanciers during the 2007-2008 show season. The 2nd queen is GC RW Korindah Frangapani. We acquired her at the end of 2007-2008 show season. Korindah Frangapani was the 3rd Best of Breed during the 2007-2008 show season.
